Resetting Before the Holidays

November always feels like a turning point. The air shifts, the light changes, and suddenly we're standing at the threshold of the holiday season. For many of us—and for our animal companions—this time of year can be very stressful.

You may be starting to feel the accumulation of a year of experiences, challenges, and emotions. The approaching holidays with all they bring: family dynamics, financial pressures, the expectations we place on ourselves and others place on us. I've observed over years of working with both humans and animals—our pets absorb more of this stress than we realize. They're incredibly intuitive, and when our energy shifts, theirs does as well.

This is why I believe November is such a powerful time for Reiki healing. Before the holiday rush truly begins, we have an opportunity to release what we've been carrying, reset our energy and move into the season grounded and energized.

What Energetic Buildup Looks Like

The signs can show up quietly at first. You might notice you're more emotionally drained than usual, or that irritability seems closer to the surface. Sleep becomes elusive, or you wake with tension in your body—headaches, tight shoulders, that persistent sense of heaviness. Often, it's a sadness you can't quite name or shake.

It’s a good idea to pay attention to your animal companions as well.  Are they more clingy lately, more anxious or withdrawn than usual? Animals don't hide their stress the way we do. They show us what they're feeling, what they're picking up from us and from their environment.

These are all forms of energetic buildup, which gives us an indication that it's time to do some some clearing and rebalancing.

How Reiki Creates Space

During a Reiki session, energy is gently channeled to clear blockages and restore natural balance. After a session, my clients often feel lighter,  more like themselves, their clarity returns, and an inner calm returns.

Think of it as creating space—space to breathe, to feel, to simply be without any accumulated weight.

Your Animals Need This Too

When we hold stress, anxiety, or unresolved emotion, your animal companions feel it as well and often take some of it for us. They're incredibly sensitive to energy. Reiki can help release anxiety, rebalance any past experiences or traumas, and return a calm-centered state.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do for our animals is to tend to our own energy first—and then offer them the same gift of healing.

An Invitation

Before the holiday season arrives with all its demands and beauty and complexity, I invite you to consider this: What would it feel like to move through the holidays from a place of energetic balance,to feel grounded and clear rather than overwhelmed?

What I offer through Reiki sessions—for you, your animal companions, or for both of you together, a way to honour where you are now and consciously choosing how you want to enter the upcoming holiday season.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to support you on your healing journey.

Sessions can be scheduled here: Book A Session

For the upcoming holiday season, my desire for you is to move  into the holidays feeling grounded, open-hearted, and calm.

Grateful that you have joined my space.
