The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Remembering Grandma's Kitchen at Christmas Time...

I am sure that you have heard people say that December is "the most wonderful time of the year" and for some, it is. For me, December and the holiday season brings smells from my childhood. I associate smells with memories of people, events, and places I have visited.

I remember my grandmother when I smell fresh baked bread and cookies and the memory of us baking in her tiny kitchen. It was the time spent in my grandmother's kitchen that started my passion for baking and unfortunately eating Christmas sweets. The smell of a Christmas tree, reminds me of my parents and decorating our house and the tree.

The holidays also bring stress and worry at different levels for others. There are gifts to purchase after you have figured out what to buy the person on your list that has absolutely everything, finding the time to buy and wrap gifts, there is baking to do and groceries to buy, all while balancing family and work. There are more social gatherings of family and friends, where we consume more food, sweets, and drinks than at other times of the year. Sometimes holiday gatherings are filled with tension and drama.

Here are some diffusing blends that may help bring back some fond memories and help bring calm during the more challenging times.

If you are not sure about diffusers, I de-mystify different types of diffusers in my post, The Mystery Behind Diffusers and Diffusing Essential Oils.

These diffusing blends take me back to baking in my grandmother's kitchen--I hope you enjoy my gifts. If you would like more information on essential oils, doTerra, or you would like to book a session, I would love to connect with you.

With Reiki Blessings,

Diana
